QUARANTINE... What is this?!

Well, what is going on in the world right now? This situation is like no other I have experienced or that many people have in their lifetime and that is definitely adding to my fear of the whole thing. The uncertainty of my future makes me feel very uneasy, worried and scared, BUT we are all in this together and I think that's super important.

We need to remember that we are all in the same boat, everyone is feeling unsure, sad and stressed out so we don't need to feel alone. Pick up the phone, facetime your family and friends and chat about your feelings because that way we can help each other out!

I have a few tips here that I want to share with you which I've learnt over the last five weeks. These have helped me out a lot, and I'm hoping they may help you in your day to day lockdown life. From baking to relaxing, DIY projects and simple self care, we can all feel a little bit better about this situation.

SELF CARE:

So my first tip to you would be to take care of yourself. This should always be your number one priority, but if, like me, you don't usually have the time to fully relax and let yourself unwind, then now is the perfect time to let yourself go. Run yourself the hottest, more relaxing bath, add salts, your favourite bath bomb, put on a face mask and get yourself a snack. It's time to relax. Oh, and a glass of wine!

Here are a few of my bath favourites:

- Bath salts

- Soap & Glory bath bomb

- Soap & Glory face mask/ eye masks

- Muscle relaxing bath soaks

I'd also like to put in here that working out is really important. I don't want to be like the rest of Instagram and try and force people to do these things, but I really do believe that even 30minutes of exercise a day will make you feel so much better. It will release endorphins which will reduce pain and increase pleasure.

BAKING

Prior to lockdown, I was not a baker. I can't really even make pancakes. However, with all the spare time I have on my hands I decided it was about time to try and bake some goodies. I've made a few things these last few weeks, I started with easy chocolate chip cookies, then I made a Victoria sponge which was very yummy! I also made a small batch of Millionaire shortbread, some Tiffin, a small lemon cake... and then finally, I made THE most delicious coffee cake and, I really outdid myself! Would highly recommend making your own coffee cake, if you are a big lover of coffee like me.

READING, FILMING, PLAYING WITH MAKEUP

Do what you love. One of the best things you can do to pass the time during lockdown is to just do what you love. Why not? If you love to read then read your little heart out, if you love to workout, write, play with makeup, if you love to bake or do DIY projects around your house then make sure you use your time doing exactly what you love. I love playing with makeup and filming videos for my youtube channel has been one of the best distractions for me during lockdown.

There you have my top tips to quarantine life. These are the main things I've been doing the last few weeks and I've noticed that they keep me in a routine, keep my brain busy and just make me feel much better about this whole situation. The world is a little crazy right now so the least I can do is help you and give you some ideas to avoid the boredom! Remember StayHome and StaySafe! By staying at home we can help the NHS and help save lives.
