COME TO IBIZA WITH ME!
Hello everyone,
I hope you are well! Long-time no speak on Full of Fashion, why I hear you ask!? Well, let’s not get into it; motivation to post has been on an ALL TIME LOW unfortunately, due to the pressure of university. I honestly, praise those that stay on top of posting when they’re under pressure from work or university. *insert hand clapping emoji*
As for today’s first post back, since 2017 (omg!), I have an Ibiza holiday post all about what to pack for your summer holiday and especially, what not to pack! A little run down of the outfits that I took with me and an overall sum up of my holiday with Thomas. Spoiler: it was beautiful.
Firstly, WHAT TO PACK FOR YOUR HOT SUMMER HOLIDAY:
BIKINIS – obviously the number one essential, to ensure you are looking your best whilst catching those rays. However, this was something I overpacked for sure. I thought, and still think that seven bikinis is enough and possibly too many. One for each day, and as people usually leave on the seventh day that frees up one bikini as a spare. Although bikinis are small and don’t take up much room, there’s no need to over pack. Leave some room for other essentials.
UNDERWEAR – on the topic of intimates, underwear is also important for the evenings, once you’ve showered and are dressed up ready for your evening. Again, seven pairs of knickers and a few bras is probably more than enough, I don’t think I wore a proper bra all week to be honest!
DRESSES – I only took two or three dresses with me because I’d overpacked on the rest, but we’ll get to those later. Dresses are super easy to throw on over your bikini on the way to breakfast, the beach or poolside or when you’re popping into town for snacks. In hindsight, I should have taken more dresses because I definitely would have benefited from the loose, flowy material to hide my sunburn!
SHORTS – I took too many shorts on my holiday. I took a few pairs of soft cotton runner shorts, two pairs of denim shorts and a few more I can’t even remember – probably because I didn’t wear them either. I lived in runner shorts to wear to bed, down to breakfast and into town especially when I was feeling a little tender. I did not wear denim shorts once, I can’t think of anything worse on sunburnt skin.
TOPS – by this I mean, crop tops, t shirts and bodysuits. I took a handful of tops, which I do not think was enough. I ended up wearing a lot of Thomas’ t shirts in the end. Take my advice and make sure to pack some baggy cotton t shirts to wear as t shirt dresses or even just to bed.
SHOES – flip flops galore! Hot holidays mean flip flops, sliders, Birkenstocks and comfy shoes. I stick to flats on holiday because comfort is KEY, but I know some girls like to get dressed up and wear heels, If you are one of these ladies I believe that wedges and flatforms is probably the best bet just to ensure your feet don’t get too sore from stilettos!
MAKEUP, SKINCARE, SMELLIES – I took three separate bags for each of these products, one for makeup, one for skincare and sun cream, and one for shower necessities and deodorant etc. It may sound like a lot, but the bags weren’t huge, medium sized. As for my makeup bag, this included few products, perhaps five or six in total. Stay tuned for a future post about my holiday makeup must haves. As for skincare, moisturiser is key on holiday! One of the most important products to me, alongside sun cream and after sun.
DON’T OVER PACK!
This is key to make sure that your luggage does not exceed 20kg! I’d say the easiest thing to pack the least of, would be clothes. As for dresses, tops and shorts. I believe, more dresses is better; less of the separates! Likewise, shoes are a significantly heavy item of clothing in your suitcase, and although flip flops are thin, multiple pairs all add up. I’d suggest taking two pairs maximum, and therefore, giving you the opportunity to take a pair of heels or wedges if you want.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know what you think. Do you pack light for your holidays or are you a constant over packer?
Love,
