Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow look #2
So I created my second eyeshadow look using the Sleek Makeup i-Divine 'Au Naturel 601' palette, that looks like so:
I also used these Zoeva eyeshadow brushes to create this look.
I created a halo eye - one of my favourite techniques - using this palette, and I absolutely love it! It is definitely my favourite look out of the two. The colours I used were
- Toast
- Regal
- Bark
- Taupe
So I used toast initially as my transition colour in the crease, its a gorgeous peach shade which I thought was perfect because it helped me blend the following shadows better. I also blended this into my outer corner too just to act as a base for the darker colours.
I started packing dark colours onto the outer and very inner corners: I used regal first as it is a soft purple, brown shade which I blended out and started to lightly connect in the crease above the cap we'd left between the two regal placements.
REMEMBER to leave a cap between your inner and outer corners.
Then I did the same actions but with darker shadows; placing bark on the inner and outer corners, blending them out and connecting above the cap. Each time I took a darker shadow, however, I used a much lighter hand and a smaller brush so that the colours were placed exactly where I wanted them to be. Especially when I used black (noir) in the deepest part of my outer corner and very inner corner. I didn't blend this up to connect in the centre.
Next, is the exciting bit! The glittery, shimmery, poppin' colour! I used taupe, which is a gorgeous gold shimmer shade which looks as if it has pink undertones which are so pretty! I placed this right in the centre of my lid.
It might be a good idea, although I didn't do it, to put down a concealer in the gap, or even a glitter glue/adhesive as this may intensify the shade! But, alone it is a gorgeous shimmer.
Along the bottom lash line, I placed noir at the root of my lashes, slightly blending this down. I also built up the colours I'd used above; so I placed regal and bark on the inner and outer corners and blended these down, then I placed taupe in the centre to mimic the halo eye on my upper lid.
And there you have it! I clearly preferred this look - as you can tell with the sheer depth of information as well as the fact that it looks 100x better - but remember, practice makes perfect. You will always prefer something the second time round; well as least I usually do!
I hope you guys liked this look as much as I do and if you recreate it make sure to tag me in your posts! As always, here are my social media links:
